“What do you get for a grandparent who has everything? A PHOTO SESSION! Gathering extended family together to celebrate life & capturing that time with a photographer is a wonderful way to cherish the time you have together and then have photos to look back on that time fondly, forever. Framed photos & gallery images don’t take up any space in your parent’s or grandparent’s home – just that perfect spot on the wall where they’ll see your smiling faces and relive these joyful times when they see the photos each day. …”
“Y’all, I almost started crying. Why’d I tear up?! I am just SO darn lucky that y’all step in front of my camera and allow me to capture these moments for you. Your smiles – your laughs! … Even if you think you look like a fool in the silliest photo from your gallery, I hope it also brings a smile to your face as a reminder of all the reasons you love this life you get to live. Even on the days when life is harder to love… even if there are more of those days than joyful ones… you’ll have these photos that showcase a happy day, a happy hour, or even just a happy minute – and I’m so honored to be here for it. …”
“I’m not naturally introspective – it takes a lot of intention for me to sit down, process through present-day life, and reflect on days, weeks, and months past – but I’ve found that doing so helps me honor all that God has done and is doing in my life, in my family, and in this little business of mine! I do some monthly reflecting through writing out my newsletter updates, but now that 2020 is rolling into town, it’s time to do a little summary of 2019. Actually, it’s not little. It’s long. But most of it is photos! Peruse at your own pace!”
“KidLab made this New Year’s Eve the most exciting one yet for Light Creative by inviting me to set up a photo booth at the kids’ event at Transfer Co. Food Hall! There were a ton of fun activities happening for the kiddos at Transfer, and people. showed. up. We had hundreds & hundreds of families come through, and I’m so thankful to have met a bunch of them as they got all dressed up & smiled for the camera!”
Earlier this year I got to capture some portraits of a fun & sweet boy and his family as he was about to celebrate his first communion – meet Hunter! … We met at their church, the Catholic Community of St. Thomas More, and I was so thankful to see allll the beautiful natural light that their sanctuary has! I also love how little time it took for Hunter’s fun personality to start shining through. 🙂 Gotta have some funny faces mixed in with the serious ones for Mom!
“While Olivia was super cute as a newborn and adorably giggly as a 6-month-old, her 1 year session is when I really started to see her sweet personality. She shared so many smiles as she practiced walking and many laughs as she played with her parents! She even gave us some spit bubbles on the back porch! 🙂 …“
“The original plan for this mini-session at their house was for some family photos to use on Christmas cards, but unfortunately the kids’ dad woke up not feeling well that morning. Things happen, and they had the option of rescheduling, but we all figured we’d roll with it and move on with the photos we could capture anyway! I love it when people are flexible to do what we can, and I hope we can capture some memories of the whole family sometime soon! …”
