Hi everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I’m excited to do some reflecting on 2019 and goal setting for 2020, but first I have some super fun photos to share with you!
KidLab made this New Year’s Eve the most exciting one yet for Light Creative by inviting me to set up a photo booth at the kids’ event at Transfer Co. Food Hall. If you’re not familiar with KidLab yet, they’re a non-profit makerspace & community art collective, currently run out of Read with Me in Downtown Raleigh. It’s definitely the kind of space I want to spend a lot of time in with Isaac as he gets older!
There were a ton of fun activities happening for the kiddos at Transfer, and people. showed. up. We had hundreds & hundreds of families come through, and I’m so thankful to have met a bunch of them as they got all dressed up & smiled for the camera! Be sure to check out the list of other businesses who were a part of the event, listed at the bottom of this post.
If you were at the event,
You can view all the photos through the link, but here are some of my favorites! Can you find the upside-down doll, the boy handing a hat to his dad, and the baby boy VERY fascinated by the pink glasses?!
Thank you all, again, for venturing out with your kiddos, braving the crowds, and having fun in front of my camera all to ensure that your kids had a blast on New Year’s Eve.
If you’d like to see some more silly photos, check out my Joyful & Silly Photos blog post with silliness from sessions all across 2018. I’ll be posting one for 2019, too!
What do you have going on in 2020 that you’d like to celebrate? Birthday parties, a baby on the way, extended family coming into town, a senior graduating high school or college…? Or maybe you simply need updated family photos for a gallery image above your mantel, or some quality new headshots? I photograph all kinds of sessions & events (and weddings!) because I LOVE following people over time and being your family photographer for life.
If you’re interested in allowing me to capture more memories for you, please check out my pay-what-you-can photography system, and then connect with me here! I strive to make professional photography accessible & enjoyable for all through pay-it-forward contributions and beautiful photo art for your home & to share.
Stay tuned to the blog in the coming weeks as I’ll post Kristen & Darrin’s beautiful wedding photos, a 2019 year in review summary, 2019 silly photos, and more sessions from November & December!
Thank you again & talk to you soon! Happy New Year from my family to yours!
In light & love,
