“I was happy to meet with Lake and Jacob right before stay at home orders kicked in for us late March! Since we’d already been staying at home for a couple weeks before the session, we felt comfortable following through with the session while maintaining social distance and eliminating any kind of contact. Their 4-month-old Samuel is the sweetest thing, and we were all really glad to be able to capture him while he’s still this little! …”
“I went over to their house one afternoon to witness all the fun of kiddos making Christmas cookies together. These are some of my FAVORITE sessions, when I get to come to your house and capture your family doing something you love together. I get a peek of each of you in your element, and the photos that result tell the story of a fun afternoon spent together. …”
“Sarah & Colin chose a Christmas card template featuring a foil message on the front & simple text on the back! I love how some clients choose templates that allow for lots of text & others let the photos speak for themselves. Sarah & Colin were initially thinking to only have one photo on the cards, but they couldn’t resist including the walking one, too. I don’t blame them – Ada had to show off those skills! …”
“I’ve got a fun little mini-session to share with you today! Jasmine was the winner of a giveaway I did with Smoothe LLC here in Raleigh, and she decided to use her mini-session to get some sweet photos of herself with her dog! Oliver is a spunky little pup, and they make a great team. We met up at Dorothea Dix park for the session, and the fall colors made for beautiful photo backgrounds! Oliver’s focus, of course, was on his toys, treats, and all the kisses – and he wanted to be held or playing the whole time! …”
“Kristyn was preparing to graduate from NC State University with her Bachelors in Microbiology and Genetics, and she wanted to take some photos with her family to mark this time in history and celebrate her accomplishments. She also wanted to focus on capturing moments with her and the girls – in her words, “They are my inspiration and are what kept me going when I wanted to quit school.” These girls are joy-bringers, motivators, and the best partners on the kitchen dance floor Kristyn could ask for…”
“What do you get for a grandparent who has everything? A PHOTO SESSION! Gathering extended family together to celebrate life & capturing that time with a photographer is a wonderful way to cherish the time you have together and then have photos to look back on that time fondly, forever. Framed photos & gallery images don’t take up any space in your parent’s or grandparent’s home – just that perfect spot on the wall where they’ll see your smiling faces and relive these joyful times when they see the photos each day. …”
“Sarah and Colin go to the same church as we do, and it has been so fun getting to know them this year! Their daughter Ada is basically the cutest with her big blue eyes and curious nature. We spent a lovely Sunday morning before church together in Anderson Point Park, and if I remember correctly, the weather was really nice for late June! I’m excited to continue spending time with this beautiful family, especially as Isaac gets older and he and Ada can play together. :)”
“As I sit here with a 37 weeks + 3 days baby belly, it’s so fun looking back through sessions I’ve done with little ones! Watching my clients interact with their kids makes me so excited to get to know our baby, play with them, care for them, and show them the world. I’ve been friends with Heaven & Russell for quite some time (just about 20 years knowing Heaven!), and it has been such an honor to get to know their daughter Phoebe and capture the first year of her life! …”
“Today I’m sharing a session I did in May near Baltimore, Maryland with some friends from college! Lauren and my husband Andrew were in the social work program together and did many group projects together back in the day. I was really excited when she said they were interested in getting photos before Lucas’ first birthday – It was the perfect excuse to go up to see them! We met at Centennial Park for the session, and that place was HOPPING with people running, having picnics, playing with kids, and even doing some juggling practice …”
“I was dreading being in pictures from the photoshoot for our daughter’s first birthday because I’m not usually comfortable getting my picture taken. By the end of the photoshoot I was so glad I decided to have my husband and me in pictures. It was so much fun to play with our daughter and have candid photos taken, and when it was time to pose I felt so comfortable because of Kelly’s direction and laid back personality. I can’t wait to have more pictures taken by her in the future!” – Alison
