A personal photo series project about my son Isaac and his relationship with animals! If he’s not actively acting like an animal, there’s bound to be one nearby. This project stretched me creatively and helped improve my craft as a documentary family photographer!

It was such a joy to meet Dawn, Brian, and their girls Julia & Emeline for a fall photo session back in 2020, and then I had the extra special honor of doing an in-home photo session with Dawn & the girls to capture some fun & natural mommy-daughter photos the following summer. Today you get to see both!

You can hardly recognize her from the newborn photos you had taken just a few months ago. How is it that she already looks so different? With her physical growth & changes comes some personality too – she’s smiling, she’s laughing, she’s playing… oh, what a joy to see her become more interactive! There’s a little person in there!”

In case you didn’t know, I have the cutest baby ever (yes, I’m a little biased), and he just turned 1 year old! Actually, does that make him a toddler?! I’ve been celebrating him throughout the past month by posting photos of him on my social media – but the thing is, not all of you are on social media! I want to make sure all of you have access to cute Isaac content, so I’m sharing some favorite photos I’ve taken of him here on the blog, as well. 🙂
