Hi everyone!

I am so thankful to be in the business of celebrating life with you all. Over the past year or so, I’ve recognized that common thread through many of my sessions (and weddings, too, of course!)… As we take photos to commemorate a milestone birthday, a marriage, a tiny little human making you a mama, a new job, or simply another year together as a family, you’re allowing me to step into some of your most notable and joyful moments. Thank you for inviting me in so that you’re able to remember these days and relive the special moments over and over. It’s a joy and an honor to celebrate with you!

Today I want to introduce you to Kristyn, Eric, and their girls who I’ll refer to as E and S. Kristyn was preparing to graduate from NC State University with her Bachelors in Microbiology and Genetics (cue the mind-blown emoji – that stuff is way over my head), and she wanted to take some photos with her family to mark this time in history and celebrate her accomplishments. She also wanted to focus on capturing moments with her and the girls – in her words, “They are my inspiration and are what kept me going when I wanted to quit school.” E and S are joy-bringers, motivators, and the best partners on the kitchen dance floor Kristyn could ask for. I’m so glad we were able to capture some photos that reflect all the fun, laughter, and silly times they like to share together!

We enjoyed a lovely November afternoon together on NC State’s campus. 🙂

It was evident from the beginning how much of a special bond Kristyn & the girls really do have. She & E, in particular, shared a lot of smiles & laughs during the session!

Beautiful mama graduate!

We stopped by the NC State wolf ears on campus, which the girls were amazed by, as you can see! When you sit in one and talk or whisper, someone sitting in the other one way across the field can hear you, and it’s a pretty cool experience – especially the first time! E & S were wonderful little rock & acorn collectors during the session 🙂

I love putting little ones in graduation gowns 🙂 And I hope one day I’ll be able to see E and S in their own graduation gowns as high school & college seniors, themselves! Can you imagine how full-circle it would be for me to be able to celebrate graduation with them, too?!

Kristyn chose to order a photo book, and I’m excited to share that with you soon! I love that she’ll be able to keep the book on a coffee table or bookshelf nearby, where she’ll be able to see it, pick it up, and enjoy the photos of these fun moments over & over.
