Hello, hello!
I have such a treat to share with you over the next few blog posts, starting with this one right here! Jennifer found out about Light Creative on Yelp, and I’m so glad she reached out to me about doing their courthouse wedding photography at the Orange County Courthouse in Hillsborough!
She was pregnant at the time, and they enjoyed working with me so much that they decided to invest in the New Life Collection to capture their sweet baby’s first year of life! We’ve had a maternity session and a newborn session since then (!!), and I can hardly wait to share all these precious moments with you.
I get SO much joy from documenting more sweet moments for people after their wedding, and it’s been so fun doing all of this over just a 3-month time period!
First, let’s start with those wedding photos!
Jennifer & Niels – Orange County Courthouse Wedding

We met up by the Riverwalk in Hillsborough, NC to take some portraits along the boardwalk & trail. The golden evening light was just perfect! Jennifer’s parents joined us from Maryland, and Niels’s parents came all the way from THE NETHERLANDS to celebrate with them. Talk about love!!
Jen’s beautiful bouquet is from University Florist in Chapel Hill! See the rest of the vendors listed out at the bottom of the post!
After that, we started walking down to the Magistrate’s Office by the Orange County Courthouse and made a couple photo stops along the way!
Niels hadn’t seen his wedding band before Jennifer put it on his finger, so you get to see his first reactions to seeing the ring. Both their rings are beautiful, and can’t you just see their love radiating from them?!
I also learned that downtown Hillsborough is super cute, & I’d love to take more photos there sometime.
Jen & Niels decided to apply their photo art credits toward ordering beautiful gallery images for their home! Before delivering them (or actually, handing them off at their maternity photo session!), I took a little video to show y’all the details of the gallery images.
They were really excited to add them to the walls of their home (who can blame them?!), so they got them up in no time! I got to see them first-hand when I was there again for their newborn session. I promise these aren’t stock scene photos – the gallery images just look that good on the walls of their home!! I love that they’re able to relive these memories each time they see them.
