Today I get to continue telling you the story of Jennifer & Niels from the past few months! They had their wedding ceremony at the Orange County Courthouse in Hillsborough, NC in November, and I was so, so pleased to keep capturing special moments for them after that with their maternity photos in December and in-home newborn photos at the end of January!!
In case you haven’t already figured it out, they’re a fun, special couple. They met on a DANCE FLOOR, and they do all sorts of outdoorsy things like hiking, kayaking, traveling, and cycling. I think I might have to go adventuring with them sometime!
I’m excited to see how baby Bryce fits into their lives – watching soccer & bird-watching with his dad, staying active and eating healthy treats with his momma.
You’ll get to meet baby Bryce in the next blog post as we continue through the New Life Collection, but first, here are their maternity photos!
Jennifer & Niels – Raleigh Maternity Photography
North Carolina Museum of Art
We explored the grounds of the NC Museum of Art, and we were blessed with a beautiful winter late afternoon for mid-December! The golden light was just. perfect. streaming through the tress, the tall grass, & over the hill.
Jen was a beautiful momma-to-be, which comes as a surprise to no one. Her off-the-shoulder dress was a perfect blend of cozy & classy!
You can see how much sweet anticipation they had while waiting to welcome their baby boy into the world!
They will always be able to look back on these photos and remember the butterflies, feelings of excitement to meet their little one, and feelings of not knowing what to expect but being ready for the adventure of parenthood with all its joys and challenges.
Sometimes it’s hard to know what to do with your maternity photos – how to display them and enjoy them – but it’s so important to cherish this unique time of anticipation, celebrate your body (you beautiful mama, you), and celebrate yourselves as a couple before adding onto your family!
It got a little chilly as the sun began to set, but Niels kept Jennifer nice & warm. 🙂
They’re in the midst of choosing the maternity & newborn photos they want to print & the ones they want to include in the photo book that comes with the New Life Collection, and I’ll be excited to show those to y’all later on!
Thank you, Jen & Niels, for allowing me to spend this time with you & capture all the sweet moments!
And thank YOU for joining us here today! Stay tuned for their newborn session from January coming up next, and I’ll be catching up on other sessions from November and December in the coming weeks!
