Hey everyone!
Welcome back to our Throwback Thursday blog series! I have shared some of my early photography with you, as well as a peek into the moments I’ve captured for Jessica & Ben over the years. My husband and I moved to Raleigh in August 2016, and now I’m beginning to share sessions I’ve had in this area since arriving!
Eli & Mia
Eli & Mia are two kids who are part of my church community at Southeast Raleigh Table, along with their parents Julia & Brian. I got to hang out with Eli & Mia for about a week last summer, and we did lots of fun summer things like getting snow cones, swimming in the pool, and going to Adventure Landing – a place with an arcade, laser tag, and a putt-putt course. 🙂 I enjoyed getting to know them more that week, but this mini-session was the November before, back in the fall of 2016!
The original plan for this mini-session at their house was for some family photos to use on Christmas cards, but unfortunately the kids’ dad woke up not feeling well that morning. Things happen, and they had the option of rescheduling, but we all figured we’d roll with it and move on with the photos we could capture anyway! I love it when people are flexible to do what we can, and I hope we can capture some memories of the whole family sometime soon!
You’ll see their little fur-baby with Eli & Mia in the photos – that’s Rosie. 🙂 She’s part of the family, and having the session at their home made it easy for her to be included! She loooves attention and was excited to be a part of this.
Enjoy the photos!
If you’re a parent, you know as well as I do (okay, better than I do) that not all children have patience for photos, but Mia & Eli were both awesome during this session. We got some laughter going that made it easy to keep smiling!
I especially love these photos here at the end. Sometimes the best moments happen right before I put my camera down!
AH, what cuties.
Thank you again to Mia, Eli, and their parents for inviting me in for these photos, and I’m happy that Brian started feeling better soon after!
Would you also like some family photos this summer, or maybe in the fall? It’s never too early to get on my calendar!
Happy Throwback Thursday, y’all, and have a great weekend!
In light & love,
Kelly
