Hello, dear friends!
I am fresh off maternity leave, excited to dig back into business while also spending time with our sweet baby Isaac! It’s been a wonderful 2.5 months focusing on him and our new family of 3 (4, including our fur baby Jack!). I did have a couple special-exception sessions (maternity & newborn for Jessica & Ben!), responded to inquiry emails, and worked on editing my August wedding during my maternity leave, but it was so nice being able to do all of that at my own pace. Everyone was so incredibly understanding and wanting to help me treasure that time with Isaac – THANK YOU!
Now I’m officially back and kicking things off in high-gear! I’m excited to have a November full of sessions and a wedding, and I’ll get to share those with you here on the blog after I finish sharing some other sessions from this summer!
Before we dive in to sharing those, though, I know a lot of people who visit my blog are eager to see more photos of Isaac. 🙂 Simone came over when he was just 12 days old for our newborn session, and I am so thankful to have all these photos to look back on and remember how little he was! Thank you a million times over, Simone!
I’m also including some photos at the end that I took just yesterday to show you how much he’s grown… He’s 12 WEEKS old & smiling now! 🙂
Hope you enjoy these photos as much as we do (if that’s even possible)!
OH, BABY… Our Newborn Photos!
A few nursery photos, featuring the Harry Potter prints I digitally drew & hand-lettered, as well as a crazy awesome mobile that my cousin Lisa created! I’ll have to share more photos of it another time… She created Harry, Ron, and Hermione with JMU scarves, there’s a snitch at the top, and there’s a Hogwarts letter/envelope in the middle with “Hudgins” stitched into it (ALL THE HEART EYE EMOJIS)! It’s incredible!
I know I’m biased, but isn’t Isaac pretty cute?! 🙂
Welcome to our living room! And, we had to get our pup Jack in on this with us 🙂 He’s been great with Isaac so far, to the tune of ignoring him most of the time (thankfully he doesn’t seem bothered by crying!). He’s definitely starting to feel neglected some, though, plopping at our feet more often & more adamantly for belly rubs!
We love spending time out on the front porch, greeting our neighbors, and swinging in the porch swing that Andrew’s dad made for us. Yes, this work of art was created by hand by his father. He’s so talented & we’re so thankful!
Aaand last but not least, we had to throw some purple & gold in there in honor of our alma mater JMU 🙂 Go Dukes!
Thank you again to Simone for capturing this special time for us. <3 I’m already starting to think about the next photo session we get to do with Isaac! I’m kind of obsessed with preserving all these little memories with him.
Naturally, I take plenty of photos of Isaac on my own camera, too. 🙂 Here are photos from just yesterday, when he turned 12 weeks old! Look how much he’s grown already… Gotta love these sweet smiles! (Also please note Jack the dog, asking for those belly rubs.)
Thank you for tuning in today & taking a peek at our lovely photos! I also offer newborn sessions, and I love doing them as part of the New Life Collection, which includes maternity, newborn, 6-month, and 1-year photo sessions. Families receive prints throughout the year to keep and to share, as well as a photobook at the end of the year that shows off baby’s first year in a beautiful way. Let me know if you’re interested in this collection or an individual session of any kind!
If this blog post has you itching to see more photos of a cute newborn, let’s throw it all the way back to Phoebe’s newborn session, and stay tuned for baby Connor’s newborn session from October to be shared soon!
Talk to y’all soon!
