Think "mini-session" but with a documentary twist, focused on candid real life moments!
These short documentary sessions are offered on your own schedule in set months each season, and they’re great for capturing your family enjoying a favorite seasonal activity together. We’ll document your simple family traditions in a way that’s true to your life right now, resulting in photos that will allow you to transport back in time to these moments. (Longer sessions allow for more real life & daily rhythms to be captured.)

Please note that you will select a 3-hour time block for your 30-minute session - morning, afternoon, or evening. This is a general timeframe for booking purposes and will NOT necessarily reflect the actual start time of your session! Later on, we’ll identify a 30-minute time slot within or around the time block you choose.

Looking for something more posed & polished, yet still loaded with fun? I offer these more guided mini-sessions each fall, making them great for holiday cards and family gifts. With just the right amount of time for both classic portraits and playful moments, this is a fun and relaxed way to get beautiful family photos without a long time commitment.
October 17: Dorothea Dix Park (morning) - likely green grass & trees close to Gipson Play Plaza
November 7: Historic Yates Mill County Park (afternoon) - fall foliage, trail, bridge over the lake (not the area with the mill)

I’ll include a cozy setup with blankets and pillows, but we’ll also capture plenty of interactive moments as your family explores between the rows of fir trees. These photos are perfect for your holiday cards, custom ornaments, or simply preserving the magic of the season. Whether you're looking for classic portraits or more interactive moments, this is a festive, joyful way to document your family this season!
